19/01/23: #TMLDAtHome: GiuseppeClaudio

19th January 7pm: Giuseppe Claudio

WE’RE BACK!

Sort of.

As you may know that Thamesmead Life Drawing had been on hiatus while looking for a suitable space for ‘in-person’ sessions. Despite this, an opportunity to work with Giuseppe Claudio in person came up that I couldn’t refuse. We’d worked with him during lock-down (remember those days?) over Zoom a number of times and seeing how he was visiting London for a few weeks, I thought I’d take the plunge and get back into hosting an in-person session at home, how Thamesmead Life Drawing first started.

After this, we’re going to be back online regularly and I’m using this as an opportunity to get back in to the swing of organising again. There will be in person sessions but limiting numbers up to 8 (my flat is small but I use the space effectively! (I only have 9 chairs and the model has to sit on something!)

So for a small number of artists, you’re welcome into my home to draw Giuseppe Claudio for the evening and reconnect with each other (or not).

When you’re here.

There will be refreshments and nibbles and there may be a sharing afterwards, but there’s no pressure to share at all. It’s always been a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and long may that continue.

I suggest bringing your own drawing materials and paper, though limited charcoals and paper will be available to buy should you need extra. Boards will be provided.

So, even if you’ve never drawn since leaving school, or a seasoned life-drawer, it’s always an encouraging and supportive session.

I look forward to hosting Giuseppe and you on the 19th. Tickets are via the eventbrite link below.

Getting Here

The postcode is SE2 9TW. The nearest station is Abbey Wood and it’s a 12 minute walk from the station. For some of you this might be your first trip to Thamesmead on the Elizabeth Line. Please note, as it is a private home, you will get the exact address emailed to you on the day. The postcode is above and is correct. There is free street-parking outside the building.
