Lakeside Drawing Group is a new venture to get people interested in the art of drawing through looking and interpreting what they see, and into the mindful practice of drawing.
Run by Jamie Zubairi, who also runs Thamesmead Life Drawing, this is also a class for adults (unfortunately due to the restrictions of our grant) to learn a new skill and ways of looking.
For the first 50 participants, there’s even a free art-pack of basic materials to get you started (to be collected from Lakeside, dates tba)
1-3pm for 6 Saturdays online. You will need a computer or laptop that you has a camera and microphone.
Each week there will be a different tutor, giving their expertise on the subject:
6th March Week 1 Jamie: The Basics – pencil technique, Light and Shading
13th March Week 2 Sioned: Simple Perspective and landscape
20th March Week 3 Miyuki: Still Life and natural found objects
27th March Week 4 Nathalie: The Figure and Fashion Drawing
6th April Week 5 Dominika: The Portrait and Self Portraits and drawing from imagination
13th April Week 6 Bhajan: Pattern, and Other Techniques and ways of looking
Can’t attend at the appointed time? As long as you’re registered you’ll be sent the link the the recording of the session.
